This joint venture between Garfield County and the City of Rifle consists of three buildings. The first is a 16,000 sq-ft justice center. It houses offices for the probation department, the district attorney, and the sheriff. Other spaces include a courtroom, judge’s chambers, attorney client rooms, jury assembly, jury deliberation, holding rooms, office space for the clerk of the court, office space for probation, and building support.
The second building is 17,000 sq-ft located at 201 18th Street. This new facility for the City of Rifle houses the Police and Municipal Court operations. The building houses office space for administration, judges, patrol, community policing and investigations operations.
A third, 2,184 sq-ft Police Evidence Storage Annex houses long-term storage of evidence.
